Begijnhof Kortrijk (Belgium)

The beguinage in the Flemish town of Kortrijk has its roots in the year 1238 A.D. Since 2 December 1998 the beguinage belongs to UNESCO protected cultural heritage. Throughout its long history, the beguinage has been destroyed several times. The current 41 baroque houses date from the 17th century.

Schneeberg (Austria)

The Schneeberg is the highest mountain in Lower Austria (2075m) and the east end of the Alps. At its feet lies the village of Puchberg. A cog railway takes you to the top.
